Developing Artists
A development programme for emerging and established theatre artists
Originally founded to take positive action to develop British South Asian theatre artists, its focus has since moved to champion and nurture voices and stories from all cultures – cultures that are otherwise left in the shadows.
Running for nearly 20 years, Developing Artists is a core part of Tamasha’s year-round programme. Over the years it has become an essential part of the British theatre ecology, launching numerous careers. Tamasha is widely recognised as a leading hub for exciting new talent, with many companies reaching out to us to find actors, writers, directors, producers and designers that they could not source elsewhere.
If you’re interested in developing your artist practice, please contact Harris@Tamasha.org.uk.
We always love receiving scripts and getting to know our writers, but please note we are a small team and therefore can only respond to selected projects. If you’d like to send us details about a project or script, please do so by completing this form. Should we see opportunity for potential development, we will get in-touch directly.
For show invites, please email submissions@tamasha.org.uk. These are circulated company-wide and we try our best to attend all shows we are invited to.
Please note that as a Global Majority-led company committed to championing diverse voices, we prioritise artists of colour and their work.
