“The work of Tamasha is vital. Their mission of creating a home for a new generation of artists from the Global Majority is a leading light within our industry. The confidence, tenacity and generosity with which the company articulate their vision and values is resolute and galvanising. We need to ensure support at the highest level for their work if we are to ensure the next generation of representative talent are truly engaged, challenged and championed.”

“Occupation is very much the theme of the play. And it comes from my frustration, really, from working in Palestine since the late nineties and coming back to Britain and trying to explain where I had been and the conditions that we’ve been working under and using the word ‘occupation’, and it seeming to have no emotional resonance at all.”

Co-creator and Director of ORANGES AND STONES, the incredible Mojisola Adebayo, beautifully talks about the piece she created with Ramallah-based theatre company, ASHTAR.
