Tamasha Tales 2025
Tamasha Tales is a new series of commissioned short pieces, which celebrates global storytelling and cultural intersectionality through multi-disciplinary artistic collaboration. In its inaugural year, we’re thrilled to announce two pairs of co-creative collaborators and their respective pieces.

Digital Producers Programme 2025
Tamasha has selected five ambitious theatre producers ready to step into the future of digital storytelling. From August to November 2025, they’ll take part in an intensive, hands-on programme led by Digital Mentor Tuyết Vân Huỳnh. Together, they’ll explore audio production, XR technologies, and the art of digital producing — building skills, creating new work, and shaping the future of theatre.

We Demand an Immediate Ceasefire and a Free Palestine
We want to find ways to support global majority artists who have been directly or indirectly affected by the destruction taking place, to have space and support, to be able to voice what they are feeling without censorship or fear, to find solace in the company of others, and kindness in a community that understands.

TELL DEM: Series Three – a SHIFT special
Following the success of two incredible series, we are back with two new hosts, directors Gitika Buttoo and Beth Kapila who will dig deep into our ground-breaking intervention dedicated to decolonial practices in theatre: SHIFT. Featuring guests including Milli Bhatia, Gail Babb, Dermot Daly and more!
TELL DEM is produced in partnership with Transmission Roundhouse.

Celebrating 35 years of Tamasha
From championing Global Majority artists to producing award-winning productions, we’re proud of our journey. We’ve nurtured rising stars through our Developing Artists Programme, pioneered digital theatre, and pushed boundaries in storytelling.
But the challenges ahead are real, with arts funding and access still limited for many. Help us continue our legacy and create change.

SHIFT – A commitment to moving forward Global storytelling in the UK
A call-to-collective action to celebrate how global perspectives on our national narrative is vital for British theatre. SHIFT aims to redress the balance around commissioning and dramaturgical practices in the sector that have historically been nurtured through a Eurocentric lens. In partnership with Bristol Old Vic, Beyond Face and Belgrade Theatre, Coventry. Funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

About Tamasha
We’re a home for emerging and established artists from the global majority. A theatre company that’s been championing lesser heard voices and stories since 1989.
“The work of Tamasha is vital. Their mission of creating a home for a new generation of artists from the Global Majority is a leading light within our industry. The confidence, tenacity and generosity with which the company articulate their vision and values is resolute and galvanising. We need to ensure support at the highest level for their work if we are to ensure the next generation of representative talent are truly engaged, challenged and championed.”
